Retail Sales Associate – Full Time
About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. Store employees maintain inventory, assist with product selection, provide automotive advice, support sales and store operations, and foster a knowledgeable retail environment. The Senior Retail Sales Associate helps deliver WOW! Customer Service by exceeding customer expectations. The role supports customers with automotive parts and advice, contributes to sales and store performance, works with the store team, maintains inventory and operations, and assists with basic installations and vehicle diagnostics.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates to foster a motivated, productive store environment; support team members and demonstrate leadership in daily responsibilities.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions, and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock and organize merchandise, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and help keep store operations running smoothly.
- Use structured processes to complete assigned tasks and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Be available for a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
