About The Position

AutoZone store teams provide customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers WOW! Customer Service, assists customers with automotive product selection and advice, contributes to sales and store performance, and helps maintain a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. The role includes supporting teammates and managers, restocking and organizing merchandise, following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, observing safety policies and using personal protective equipment, and using AutoZone systems to stay current on parts, tools, and promotions. Associates may assist with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations, and use diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
• Previous experience in automotive retail.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.

• Recommend products, services, and promotions to improve the customer experience and contribute to sales goals and store performance metrics.

• Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
• Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
