Retail Sales Associate Part Time
About The Position
Sun Tan City is hiring a part-time Retail Sales Associate to provide client service and recommend tanning and wellness products and services. Associates help clients identify options suited to their needs, build positive client relationships, and contribute to sales goals. The position offers base pay of $12.50 per hour or more, with performance bonuses; the stated average earnings of $15.50 per hour are not guaranteed and depend on meeting performance and training criteria. The role is performed in a high-energy, fast-paced salon environment and may require working independently during a shift as business needs require. Flexible scheduling is offered.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
- Ability to provide professional customer service and engage with clients to understand and meet their needs.
- Ability to make product and service recommendations and meet minimum sales requirements.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced salon environment.
- Ability to work cohesively with a team and follow company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and alone during shifts when business needs require.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment and bend down to pick up trash, towels, and other items from floors.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
- Ability to perform salon cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent, professional customer service and ensure clients’ needs are met.
- Engage with clients, build positive relationships, understand their needs, and recommend products and services.
- Meet minimum sales requirements.
- Handle multiple tasks, including cleaning tanning beds as clients leave and greeting new clients as they arrive.
- Help maintain cleanliness in tanning rooms, the lobby, restrooms, laundry, and storage areas.
- Work cohesively with the team in an upbeat, fast-paced salon environment while following company policies and procedures.
- Educate clients about tanning and wellness options.
