Retail Sales Associate or Retail Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate or Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple areas to support business needs. The role includes modeling positive customer service practices and contributing to a store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. Associates may ring purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, process and prepare merchandise, maintain merchandising standards, and participate in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at the TJ Maxx store at 1200 University Dr, Coral Springs, Florida. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
