About The Position

For over 10 years, Blacksburg Eye Associates has helped our patients see and look their best. If you like helping people, have a knack for style or fashion, and want to be in an environment for personal and career growth, this eyewear sales position in Blacksburg, VA is for you! We have an amazing team of 20 full-time employees, four of which dedicated to our optical showroom and we are looking to grow our optical team!

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous history of customer service.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for social interactions and medical documentation.
Flexibility to adapt to variable situations and circumstances.
Willingness to participate as part of a team.
Flexibility, humility, and willingness to learn.
Required to complete online and in-house training.

Nice To Haves

Previous sales experience is preferred even if not in eyewear.

Responsibilities

Building lasting relationships by educating patients on product benefits and guiding them to make good decisions.
Selecting eyewear that fits a patient's lifestyle, prescription, and needs.
Providing frame and lens care, including cleaning and repair.
Positively impacting office morale by greeting patients and coworkers with a smile, helping where needed, and keeping the office running smoothly.
Assisting patients with check-outs, scheduling follow-ups, ordering glasses or contacts, and understanding vision benefits.
