About The Position

The Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute is committed to providing its many and varied patients, caregivers, and families with information regarding their cancer diagnoses, treatments, and available support programs from The James. The James' Patient and Family Resource Center serves as an onsite and physical headquarter to support patients and families. Space is available for provider-family conferences and family/caregiver respite. Additionally, the embedded Hope's Boutique store offers an assortment of retail products to help support patients and families during their respective cancer journeys.

The Specialist will work closely with leadership of The James Patient Family Resource Center and Hope's Boutique to maintain a friendly and welcoming environment to all guests. Central to this role, the Specialist will assist visitors with identifying and retrieving relevant and credible health information and support programs. Additionally, The Specialist will assist retail customers with product selection and purchasing. She or he will maintain inventory and presentation of retail products offered at Hope's Boutique and both online resources and print materials in the Patient Family Resource Center. For both spaces, the role is focused on engaging with customers, answering questions and maximizing our patients' and families' return for their continued needs and interests.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 0 years of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist visitors with identifying and retrieving relevant and credible health information and support programs.

• Maintain online resources and print materials in the Patient Family Resource Center.
