About The Position

MEC is more than a store; it's a hub for the outdoor community, a leader in sustainability, and a place where you can be yourself. Members visit MEC for gear and advice on hiking, camping, climbing, cycling, watersports, snowsports, and travel. As a Retail Sales Advisor, you will be instrumental in helping members plan their adventures, from dream trips to weekend getaways, catering to both first-timers and outdoor experts. You will work alongside incredible coworkers who are passionate about the outdoors and foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts between Monday and Friday, 7:00 am and 9:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional member service by matching people with gear that suits their needs.
• Share real-world experience about products and offer personal recommendations.
• Assist with visual merchandising and support other team members.
• Organize inventory and ensure members receive the products they need.
• Spread awareness about MEC events and services.
• Learn about new products, technology, and features, including sustainability aspects.
• Help more people in Canada get active outside, whether for family camping trips or backcountry expeditions.
