About The Position

The Receiving Specialist assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role is responsible for customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, including receiving and moving freight, pricing and merchandising products, and recovering the store. The Specialist also maintains an organized receiving area, supports register operations as needed, and communicates receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders. • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving trucks and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Price items, merchandise products, and recover the store.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
• Assist with training new Receiving Specialists.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Greet and acknowledge customers as they enter and exit the store and approach the front end.
• Operate the register accurately and efficiently as needed.
• Know promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and assist with selling products.
• Support Ollie’s Army and other donation programs throughout the year.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the overall store.
• Complete additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
