About The Position

The Retail Project Coordinator – Portfolio & Planning is at the center of House-Hasson Hardware’s growing Retail Services business, helping turn ideas into successful stores, remodels, conversions, resets, and dealer opportunities. This high-visibility role connects the dots between dealers, project managers, vendors, sales leaders, field teams, and internal departments—keeping projects moving, priorities clear, and teams aligned from initial planning through execution and closeout. You’ll bring structure to complex projects, anticipate roadblocks, turn data into actionable insights, improve the way we work, and progressively take ownership of projects and workstreams of your own. With exposure to retail project management, store planning, estimating, budgeting, dealer consulting, field execution, business development, and process improvement, this is an opportunity to build a career while making a visible impact on the business.

Requirements

Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines without losing sight of the details.
Strong project-management fundamentals, including experience with schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, changes, stakeholders, and project closeout.

Strong communicator and collaborator who can confidently coordinate across dealers, vendors, project managers, sales leaders, field teams, and internal departments.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to turn project information into clear priorities, identify potential roadblocks, and communicate what leadership needs to know.
Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills, with the ability to organize, analyze, and present information effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can shift and success depends on keeping many moving pieces aligned.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel periodically for project and field activities.

Nice To Haves

Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects or a project portfolio, particularly where schedules, resources, budgets, risks, and dependencies must be managed across teams.
Experience with project and portfolio management platforms such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Asana, Jira, Airtable, or similar tools.
Experience creating dashboards, status reports, leadership updates, portfolio summaries, or resource/capacity plans.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, CRM, ERP, accounting, or other business-intelligence systems.
Background in project coordination, project management, program or portfolio coordination, retail operations, construction administration, sales operations, or a related field.
Experience working with vendors, customers/dealers, field teams, or cross-functional business partners is a plus.
Experience in retail, store development, construction, remodeling, or other project-based environments is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, operations, retail management, finance, construction management, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree.
CAPM certification, PMP coursework, formal project-management training, or comparable practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the big picture. Coordinate and track multiple retail projects at once, maintaining a clear, real-time view of schedules, budgets, milestones, resources, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
Keep projects moving. Support projects from initial planning through execution, billing, and closeout—managing documentation, action items, decisions, approvals, and follow-through so nothing falls through the cracks.
Be the connection point. Keep Project Managers, field teams, vendors, deliveries, dealers, sales leaders, and internal teams aligned around what needs to happen next.
Orchestrate the Retail Project Calendar. Balance competing priorities, resources, travel, deliveries, and project schedules while identifying conflicts and capacity challenges before they impact the business.
Turn information into insight. Build dashboards, weekly portfolio updates, and leadership summaries that make it easy to see project health, priorities, risks, resources, pipeline opportunities, and major wins.
Anticipate problems before they become fires. Identify scheduling conflicts, delivery risks, resource constraints, dependencies, and other issues early—and help drive solutions.
Help make the business run smarter. Improve project intake, planning, scheduling, execution, billing, reporting, and closeout through practical processes, workflows, dashboards, automation, and better ways of working.
Get closer to the action. Periodically travel to support site visits, measurements, project kickoffs, store openings, conversions, remodels, resets, and other field activities.
Help grow what comes next. Support the retail prospect pipeline through dealer research, site-visit preparation, proposals, presentations, and business-development follow-up.
Grow into ownership. As your knowledge and capabilities develop, take the lead on defined project workstreams, smaller projects, and dealer opportunities.
