About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a motivated Retail Pharmacist to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy located at Howard Brown Community Health Center. This part-time position covers 20 hours per week, with additional shifts as needed. The role involves dispensing medications, providing patient consultation, medication therapy management, and potentially managing high-risk patients, with a focus on serving communities in need. Cardinal Health's Community Health Center programs are designed to address population health management needs and improve patient access and quality of care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

340B experience preferred.
Experience working with specialty drugs (HIV/AIDS/Hepatitis C), preferred.
May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of the partner health facility.
Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
