Retail Pharmacist
About The Position
As a Pharmacist, you will help ensure the safe and effective use of medications by managing medication therapy, providing clinical advice, and supporting patient health outcomes through comprehensive pharmaceutical care. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication regimens and prevent adverse drug interactions. You will counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and health maintenance strategies. The role also supports patient safety, therapeutic outcomes, and public health initiatives such as immunization programs. Start and end times follow the retail site’s hours of operation, with an every-other-weekend rotation required. The position is listed at 0.75 FTE (60 hours per pay period).
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Registered Pharmacist with a current Minnesota license.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, and clinical pharmacy practices.
- Experience with retail pharmacy operations and pharmacy benefit management systems.
- Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Every-other-weekend rotation is required.
