About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a highly motivated pharmacist to work in a Cardinal-managed hospital-based retail pharmacy. This role involves dispensing medications, ensuring safe and efficient delivery, and providing professional consultation to patients and prescribers. The position may include immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and potential management of high-risk patients. This is a PRN position covering leave and PTO, located at Orange City Area Pharmacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
- 2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
- Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
- Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
- Multitasking and time management skills.
- May require vendor credentialing.
Nice To Haves
- 340B Experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
- Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
- Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
- Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
- Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
- Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
