About The Position

Goodwill Northern New England is a nonprofit social enterprise that helps people achieve their life and work goals. Our stores sell affordable goods donated by members of communities across our three states. In addition to providing flexible, stable jobs, our warehouse and store employees divert 50+ million pounds of donated goods from landfills annually. Prior warehouse and/or equipment experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• A must! Display a friendly and positive demeanor to create a welcoming work environment.
• Essential for handling transactions and supporting job duties.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
• Pass a criminal background check meeting agency standards.
• Can exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 30 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Nice To Haves

• Prior retail experience or relevant certification is a plus.
• High school diploma, GED, HiSET, or equivalent educational background.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile, provide assistance, and ensure they have an enjoyable shopping experience.
• Ring up purchases accurately and efficiently while maintaining a cheerful and professional demeanor.
• Help create an inviting and organized sales floor by arranging and refreshing merchandise making room for new products.
• Attend to the fitting rooms, ensuring customers have everything they need to make confident purchasing decisions.
• Set a friendly and supportive atmosphere for customers and co-workers, building a sense of community within our store.
