About The Position

As our Retail Operations Analyst Intern, you will support the Cash Application & Broker Commissions teams in processing and reconciling payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and assisting with reporting. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in financial operations and exposure to cash application processes within a fast-paced environment. This internship opportunity is based in Houston, TX, and spans three months, from September 2026 to December 2026. You will report to the Commissions and Cash App, Director.

Requirements

At least a Sophomore Undergraduate Student currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
Mathematically inclined and demonstrate strong quantitative reasoning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and goal-oriented
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy
Self-motivated and able to work independently without assistance from your supervisor
Proficiency with standard office software packages

Responsibilities

Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices accurately
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or customer accounts
Assist in reconciling daily bank transactions and identifying exceptions
Collaborate with the accounting team to improve cash application efficiency
Work with unclaimed property team to ensure items are properly distributed and accounted for
Support the month-end closing process by preparing relevant documentation
Communicate with customers or internal teams regarding payment issues when necessary
