Retail Merchandiser (Grocery Rep)
About The Position
At Merchandising Consultants Associates (MCA), we are a leading Canadian Merchandising Company that provides top-notch services to Retailers and Consumer Packaged Goods companies across North America. We are seeking reliable and energetic Merchandising Representatives to support a leading manufacturer's Direct Store Delivery (DSD) program in big box retail stores. In this role, you will be responsible for working directly with the client's products after they have been delivered to the store, ensuring organized, well-stocked shelves and displays that drive sales. This is a fast-paced, physical position within a busy retail setting that involves simultaneous activity from multiple vendors, store employees, and deliveries. The ability to work safely, maintain organization, and communicate effectively is crucial.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail, grocery, warehouse, or merchandising environments
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with clear productivity expectations
- Physically able to lift, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods
- Confident communication with store management, staff, and other vendors
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities effectively
- Professional appearance, attitude, and conduct at all times
- Proficiency with smartphone apps and modern technology
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Must reside in the specified location
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
Responsibilities
- Stocking and replenishing products following DSD deliveries
- Rotating product to ensure freshness and quality
- Building and maintaining displays and promotional signage
- Monitoring inventory levels
- Processing damaged, expired, and unsaleable products
- Ensuring products are neatly arranged and ready for customers
- Using smartphone apps to collect data, take photos, and complete reports
