Retail Merchandiser - San Ramon, CA
About The Position
L&R is seeking a part-time to full-time Field Merchandiser to service retail stores in San Ramon, California, and surrounding cities. The role ensures products are stocked, organized, and displayed properly at assigned locations, and supports store resets by implementing planograms, relocating products, setting shelves, and ensuring displays meet company and retailer standards. The schedule is up to 29 hours per week, with service hours between 6 AM and 5 PM; service until 8 PM is possible with authorization. The position includes store ordering, route servicing, merchandising, display resets, returns processing, store audits, and professional communication with store personnel. The company states that transition to full-time may be available after 60 days if consistent hours of 30 or more per week are met.
Requirements
- Previous merchandising or retail experience.
- Ability to safely use a ladder or step stool to access elevated fixtures, signage, and products.
- Ability to perform physical work, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with tablets and smartphones.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Registered vehicle.
- Valid driver's license.
- Car insurance.
- Motor Vehicle Report with three or fewer moving violations in the last 36 months.

Responsibilities
- Place orders for required inventory according to store ordering guidelines using a company-supplied tablet, scanner, and Repsly software.
- Service assigned store routes according to call frequencies and work closely with the District Manager.
- Follow the store visit process, including merchandising deliveries from previous orders, completing task forms, taking photographs, placing orders to maintain stock levels, and performing other requested projects.
- Implement planograms and schematics to reset cosmetic displays, fixtures, and sections according to instructions.
- Complete resets according to L&R standards and project timelines.
- Install and adjust shelving, hooks, and fixtures to match planogram specifications.
- Process customer returns associated with resets according to L&R returns and reclamation guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies concerning invoicing, exchanges, and returns.
- Communicate efficiently with Store Associates during store visits.
- Verify merchandise shipments upon receipt and confirm they have been checked in by authorized store personnel.
- Communicate professionally with Store Management and Store Associates.
- Clean and organize display cases and shelves.
- Conduct requested store surveys and audits, including taking photographs of assigned departments to help address store issues.
- Service additional stores as business needs require.
