About The Position

Chuck Latham Associates (CLA), a pet sales and branding agency, is hiring a part-time Assisted Sales Representative (ASR) to promote multiple product lines in specialty retailer stores. This is a professional merchandising role with monthly flexible hours. Compensation is hourly, with mileage and drive-time reimbursement and a monthly smart device stipend. The representative visits assigned stores monthly within a territory; additional work may depend on surge projects. Seasonal product demonstrations may also be available. Successful merchandisers are self-managed, organized, detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, willing to learn and follow instructions, and able to communicate and collaborate effectively. The role requires using a smart device in stores to take photos and submit completion surveys, along with a reliable vehicle and the physical ability to perform merchandising tasks.

Requirements

Strong technical skills with smartphone or tablet technology.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which may occasionally include weekends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with the CLA team, store associates, and customers.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including planning and completing multiple priorities.
Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor the quality of one's own work.
Dependability, including completing work on time, following instructions, responding to management direction, and seeking feedback to improve performance.
Must have a smart device or tablet with reliable internet access.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a reliable vehicle for work purposes and at least the minimum required auto insurance coverage.
Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform merchandising tasks such as compliance checks, improving on-shelf availability, installing point-of-purchase materials, building incremental displays, completing cut-ins and resets, and educating store staff.
Promote brand awareness and sales by engaging with and educating store associates and customers.
Build and maintain relationships as a liaison among clients, store associates, and store management.
Visit assigned stores monthly within the territory; take on additional workload as needed for surge projects.
Use a smart device in stores to take photos and submit completion surveys.
Participate in seasonal demonstration opportunities when available.
Communicate and collaborate with a supervisor on other assigned duties.
