About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates promote a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

The position includes processing customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising products for the sales floor, and supporting store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Associates provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, follow applicable labor laws and company procedures, and perform other duties as assigned. The posted shift is 5:00 p.m. to closing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.

• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
