About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role includes assisting with customer purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Associates support a positive store culture, participate in shrink-reduction efforts, and follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
