About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role models customer experience practices and supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. Responsibilities include processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, supporting shrink reduction and safety programs, and following applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
