About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Retail Men's Apparel and Accessories Supervisor to join their team. This role is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively, and fostering a team environment. The Supervisor will also ensure an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store, while modeling exceptional customer service. This position creates a positive internal and external customer experience, promotes a culture of honesty and integrity, and orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing merchandise processing onto the sales floor. The Supervisor will train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles, ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicate with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow of goods. They will ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan, monitor team productivity, organize and rotate back stock, and maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards. Additionally, the Supervisor will uphold backroom organizational and cleanliness standards, ensure compliance with recycling programs, communicate effectively with management and Associates regarding priorities, and provide and accept recognition and feedback. They will partner with Management on Associate training needs, ensure adherence to labor laws and policies, promote credit and loyalty programs, support shrink reduction goals, and promote safety awareness. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Executing receiving and merchandising standards
Ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team
Ensuring an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store
Modeling exceptional customer service
Creating a positive internal and external customer experience
Promoting a culture of honesty and integrity; maintaining confidentiality
Orchestrating truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
Training and mentoring Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
Ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
Communicating with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
Ensuring Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizing as needed
Monitoring productivity of team and coaching as necessary
Organizing and rotating back stock for easy replenishment
Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards
Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
Ensuring compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs
Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; providing progress updates
Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
Partnering with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
Ensuring adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Promoting credit and loyalty programs
Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
