The Retail Manager supervises one or more of the Sales Departments within the store to include the merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development and customer service activities. This role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding financial plans and executing sales plans as directed by the Company. Key duties include opening and closing the store, acting as Manager on Duty, maintaining planograms, staffing departments with service-oriented associates, interviewing, selection, training, performance appraisals, work schedules, coaching, motivating associates, and resolving customer and associate issues. The manager carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. They provide a legendary experience for every customer by assisting them in making buying decisions, identifying and evaluating customer needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
