About The Position

The Retail Loss Prevention Associate supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by carrying out core loss-prevention responsibilities. The role focuses on serving as a visible deterrent to potential loss or dishonesty while wearing a company-approved uniform and body-worn camera. The associate supports a positive customer shopping experience and maintains strong partnerships with store teams and loss prevention. The associate uses sound judgment to protect their own safety, the safety of others, and the Company brand; follows company policies and supports company culture and values; maintains a professional presence in a designated store area; and completes other duties as assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0287 in Metairie, Louisiana, with a stated starting pay range of $13.30 to $18.60 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain a proper, professional stance in the designated area at the front of the store.
Act as a visual deterrent to prevent potential loss or dishonesty.
Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide.
Wear a complete company-approved uniform, including a body-worn camera.
Greet customers appropriately and demonstrate courtesy and respect.
Establish and maintain a position at the front of the store or in a department.
Respond to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to store management or customer service via a company-issued radio.
Observe and report suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Loss Prevention or store management.
Perform a closing safety sweep of the store with a member of management.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Document required incidents in AIIM Case Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
