About The Position

Boot Country in downtown Nashville has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, organized, and hands-on Inventory Supervisor to join our management team! We know that keeping the right product in the right place at the right time is essential to a successful store. As our Inventory Supervisor, you'll be the expert behind keeping merchandise moving efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor through shipment processing, replenishment, inventory control, and organization. This is a working supervisor position. You'll lead, coach, schedule, and develop the stock team while working alongside them to ensure our sales floor stays stocked and our inventory is organized and accurate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of retail experience.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Superior communication skills including written and verbal.
  • Essential Physical Requirements: (bending, reaching, and standing/walking for the entire shift)
  • Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the warehouse.
  • Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the stock area, generally weighing 0 - 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates

Responsibilities

  • Supervises proper unloading of shipping cartons from commercial carriers and verifying carton count per the delivery receipt.
  • Ensures all packing lists are accurately checked per the contents of the shipping cartons.
  • Notifies management of inaccuracies.
  • Supervises stock placement such as the backroom or sales floor.
  • Monitors area for signs of shrinkage and potential security risks, and contacts management when problems are identified.
  • Directs the work of stock personnel by communicating daily work assignments and instructions on how to perform assigned tasks; reviews work to ensure tasks are completed; answers questions about merchandise, tasks, and Company procedures; and provides personnel with feedback on work performance.
  • Responsible for scheduling stock associates.
