About The Position

The Retail Intern will support the execution and performance of retail revenue programs aboard Margaritaville at Sea. This role provides hands-on experience with revenue-generating activities, including retail sales, merchandising, guest engagement, and promotional initiatives designed to maximize onboard spend. Working closely with the Onboard Revenue and Retail teams, the intern will assist in analyzing sales performance, supporting merchandising strategies, and enhancing the overall guest experience to drive incremental revenue.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with analyzing data or working with spreadsheets is a plus.
  • Strong interest in retail operations, sales, and onboard revenue generation
  • Basic understanding of merchandising principles and customer buying behavior
  • Ability to support sales-driven initiatives and contribute to revenue-focused activities
  • Strong customer service skills with a guest-first mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze simple sales data and identify trends or opportunities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supporting onboard revenue initiatives, including retail sales, promotions, and guest engagement strategies aimed at increasing per-guest spend.
  • Provide support in delivering a high-quality retail experience that encourages sales, enhances guest satisfaction, and aligns with brand standards.
  • Assist in implementing visual merchandising standards, product placement, and promotional displays to optimize sales performance and product visibility.
  • Support the review of retail sales and onboard revenue data, identifying trends, top-performing products, and opportunities to improve revenue.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, stock replenishment, and product organization to ensure optimal product availability and minimize lost sales opportunities.
  • Support the execution of onboard promotions, pricing changes, and marketing campaigns designed to increase guest spend and drive revenue growth.
  • Observe and provide feedback on guest purchasing behavior and preferences to help inform merchandising and revenue strategies.
  • Partner with onboard teams, including Guest Services, Food & Beverage, and Entertainment, to support integrated revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Assist with day-to-day operational tasks that ensure retail and revenue activities run efficiently and effectively.
  • Support special projects, including new product launches, retail concept enhancements, and onboard revenue initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support onboard revenue operations and business needs.
