About The Position

The Retail Freight Associate, internally classified as a Receiving Specialist, assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The role handles freight, supports merchandising, helps maintain an organized receiving area, and contributes to efficient store operations. The position requires a positive, team-oriented attitude and regular availability for morning, evening, weekend, and holiday work. The role involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 35 pounds, frequent bending, twisting, gripping, reaching, and pinching, and standing for extended periods while working safely.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player and interact well with customers and associates.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
Ability to bend, twist, grip, reach, and pinch frequently.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.

Responsibilities

Assist with receiving trucks and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
Support pricing items, merchandising products, recovering the store, and training new Associates.
Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
