About The Position

The Retail Footwear Operations Lead is responsible for directing workflow and overseeing the daily operations in the shipping/receiving area and for general maintenance throughout the store under the direction of the Sales Support Manager. This role ensures that all merchandise and product received at the store is processed in accordance with established programs and procedures, and that the department area is organized and maintained for easy access to back stock merchandise. The position also involves assisting the manager with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily associate assignments, and monitoring the freight flow process. Additionally, the Lead communicates Company initiatives, programs, and promotions to department associates and trains new and current associates on freight flow procedures. The role includes assisting the store management team with general supervision, carrying keys for opening and closing the store, and performing Front End and Cash Office functions. Engaging in behaviors aligned with the Company's customer service and selling program to provide an outstanding store experience and maintaining Company loss prevention standards and controls in the Department are also key responsibilities. Other tasks as assigned by management will be performed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all merchandise and product received at the store is processed in accordance with established programs and procedures and that the department area is organized and maintained so that back stock merchandise is easily accessible.
  • Ensure that all other Freight Flow processes are executed, including transfers, RTVs, claims, key recs, misdirected freight processing, etc.
  • Assist manager with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily associate assignments, and monitoring the freight flow process.
  • Communicate information to department associates regarding Company initiatives, programs, promotions, etc.
  • Train new and current associates on freight flow procedures as needed.
  • Assist the store management team with general supervision in the store in accordance with Company policies and procedures, including carrying keys to open and close the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions.
  • Engage in behaviors that are in line with the Company's customer service and selling program, thus providing all customers with an outstanding store experience.
  • Maintain Company loss prevention standards and controls in the Department.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
