About The Position

Paula’s Choice, a global skincare leader, is seeking a Retail & Experiential Graphic Designer to join their creative team. This role will be a visual driving force behind the customer experience at the point of sale, collaborating with retail channel partners to optimize results in an agile and fast-moving environment. The designer will develop and oversee graphics for visual merchandising, events, and field education, ensuring alignment with Paula's Choice's visual expression across various fixture and feature areas within wholesale channels. The position requires adapting approved art direction to different proportions and adhering to retailer and brand guidelines, working closely with the creative team on campaign development, and strategizing with internal Wholesale partners to optimize collateral. The role involves adapting templates for print production, presenting designs to internal management, providing design support to cross-functional teams, and streamlining processes to enhance productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • Stable work history
  • Formal graphic design training with a focus on print
  • 2 years minimum of experience in graphic design and production skills with a focus on print, proofing, working with vendors
  • High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, CS6, Illustrator, InDesign and other Adobe CC
  • Ability to effectively assess priorities and work well under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong production skills with the ability to take direction while collaborating with a wide variety of team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gain a full understanding of the scope of each project and how to present and explain the design methodology as well as your ideas
  • A portfolio reflecting design abilities, as well as your creativity and attention to quality and detail
  • Concepting and designing for a consumer-centric retail mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
  • Prior experience designing visual merchandising, retail design, or POP display teams with follow-through of applying those designs into print production
  • Working with Sephora or another comparable retailer
  • Experience in the cosmetics &/or skincare field

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee graphics from design to production relating to visual merchandising, event and field education graphics that are aligned with Paula’s Choice visual expression across multiple fixture and feature areas within our wholesale channels.
  • Produce different iterations of the approved art direction applied to various proportions and following retailer and brand guidelines.
  • Work closely with creative team on campaign development and execute to consistent standards.
  • Strategize and communicate closely with internal Wholesale partners to optimize and redesign new and existing collateral.
  • Adapt and utilize templates to create files that can be prepared for print production.
  • Present to internal management; addressing feedback with solution-based creative thinking.
  • Provide design support as needed to cross-functional teams.
  • Streamline processes to increase productivity and quality of executions.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.
