About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing employment and training services to help people find jobs and reach financial stability. This role serves as the "face of Goodwill" to donors, assisting them with their contributions and acknowledging their support. The position involves working outdoors in various conditions, handling donations, and maintaining the cleanliness and security of the donation area.

Requirements

• Ability to lift incoming donations up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outside in extreme conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to perform recurring bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy items up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or step stools (for certain positions).

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload donations from donor vehicles.
• Offer and issue a receipt for every donor.
• Sort and store donations in the trailer.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and security of the trailer area at all times.
• Work outside in extreme conditions.
• Stand for long periods.
• Perform recurring bending, crouching, reaching, and stooping.
• Lift moderately heavy items up to 35 lbs.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Climb stairs, ladders, or step stools (for certain positions).
