About The Position

The Retail Donation Attendant is responsible for accepting donated goods from donors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing receipts, and sorting donations according to set guidelines. This role involves tracking and recording goods received, using material handling equipment to move and sort donations, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of interior and exterior donation areas. The attendant will also properly load and unload company trucks and trailers, and assist with general cleaning functions of the store. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a work or educational setting demonstrating the ability to interact positively with the public or team is required.
Ability to meet production quotas.
Must be proficient in basic math, able to read and write.
Operate computerized equipment, tablets, receipt printer.
Use pushcart, hand truck, pallet-jack, barrels, boxes.
Make decisions based on quality of donated products.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Background check.
Drug screen.
Physical examination.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer service experience dealing with the public is preferred.
Open schedule availability preferred (Store open 7 days a week, 8 AM through 7 PM).
