About The Position

The Retail Donation Attendant is responsible for accepting donated goods from donors in a friendly and courteous manner, providing receipts, sorting donations according to guidelines, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of donation areas. This role also involves assisting with general store cleaning and other assigned duties. Open availability of schedule is preferred as the store operates 7 days a week.

Requirements

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a work or educational setting demonstrating the ability to interact positively with the public or team is required.
Ability to meet production quotas.
Must be proficient in basic math, able to read and write.
Operate computerized equipment, tablets, receipt printer.
Use pushcart, hand truck, pallet-jack, barrels, boxes.
Make decisions based on quality of donated products.
Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates.
Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
Background check, drug screen and physical examination.

Nice To Haves

One year of customer service experience dealing with the public is preferred.

Responsibilities

Accept donated goods from donors in a friendly and courteous manner and provide receipt.

Track and record goods received.
Use material handling equipment to move/transport, and sort donations.
Maintain interior and exterior donation areas clean and organized.
Properly load and unload company trucks and trailers.
Assist with all general cleaning functions of store.
Other duties as assigned.
