About The Position

The Retail Delivery Manager is responsible for efficient delivery of all
customer products and will directly lead the Retail Delivery Team. This position
is responsible for compliance and training of Retail Delivery Associates and
Retail Drivers as well as the ongoing monitoring and compliance of operational
needs. This position will place a strong emphasis on customer service,
communication and organization as well as the ability to direct the work of
others utilizing available dashboards and systems. The Retail Delivery Manager
should be familiar with route balancing as well as other system functions in
AOPS, MS Word and MS Excel.

This position oversees all processes for the daily delivery of customer
packages, including those under Retail and BSD, for the market and is
responsible for managing the Retail Delivery Associates and Retail Drivers
responsible for the execution of delivery processes. The goal of the team is to
maintain high customer service levels at the lowest possible cost consistent
with the service provided.

The essential functions of this position may require you to consent to periodic
comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred; coursework in Business, Management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail, service, or a related field
• At least 2 years of delivery experience preferred
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Department of Transportation (DOT) qualification
• Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of systems, tools, and/or processes in a delivery environment preferred
• Familiarity with computers and transportation systems, including Workforce Management Systems, preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule Retail Drivers to delivery routes daily, oversee daily outgoing shipments via third party carriers and incoming customer orders via Supply Chain and Dashboard metrics.
• Manage proper picking, packaging, invoicing and quality assurance of delivery orders in the area to include hazmat compliance.
• Recruit, hire and train all delivery personnel for market. Perform driver safety checks as needed, for follow up and or retraining. Input and deliver performance reviews of delivery personnel and drivers for the market
• Assist with route design, balancing and dispatch, including training and follow up of driver and vehicle safety as well as State and Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance.
• Responsible for maintenance and organization of ZPOG storage and delivery operations area within the store.
• Responsible for completion, filing and retention of all required paperwork related to compliance and process execution.
• Allocates resources to ensure timely deliveries as defined by customer requirements and expectations. Keeps all vehicles maintained per policy and regulations.
• Assist with delivery operations as a route back-up driver, when necessary
• Communicate with BSD reps, Supply Chain, Third Party Carriers, Retail Management and Corporate Customer Service as needed.
