The Retail Deli Station / Prep Associate is at the heart of our retail experience—bringing fresh, scratch-made food to life and delivering genuine, high-energy service to every guest. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you’ll prep, build, and showcase deli and grab-and-go offerings that reflect Thomas Cuisine’s REAL Food standards—fresh, thoughtful, and made with care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Previous experience in food service, deli, retail, or hospitality is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Friendly, team-oriented mindset with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain)
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble fresh deli items including sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go selections, and other retail offerings
  • Maintain stocked, organized, and visually appealing deli and retail displays
  • Follow standardized recipes and portioning to ensure quality and consistency
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workspace in accordance with food safety standards
  • Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, chopping, packaging, and labeling
  • Provide friendly, welcoming service to guests, answering questions and supporting their needs
  • Operate basic kitchen and deli equipment safely and effectively
  • Support inventory restocking and assist with rotation (FIFO) as needed
  • Work collaboratively with culinary and service team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
