About The Position

This role at EZCORP, specifically for Value Pawn & Jewelry, is for a Retail Customer Service Representative, also referred to as a Pawnbroker. EZCORP emphasizes career development, offering a structured career path from Trainee to Pawnbroker, Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager), and eventually Store Manager in Training. The position involves daily customer interaction, assisting with sales, and negotiating pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. As part of the Customer Service team, the representative will provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment. Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
  • Excelling at customer service and relationship building
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work well independently and as member of a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics
  • Sales background
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers daily, helping with sales
  • Enjoy the give and take of coming to a mutually satisfying agreement regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, and more
  • Provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, interacting with customers in person and on the phone
  • Process sales, loans, and extensions
  • Perform opening and closing store duties
