This role is for a Retail Customer Service Representative, also known as a Pawnbroker. It involves daily interaction with customers, assisting with sales, and negotiating mutually satisfying agreements for pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. As part of the Customer Service team, the representative is expected to provide a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment. EZCORP offers a structured career path starting as a Trainee with a 5-week paid training program, leading to a Pawnbroker promotion and further opportunities to become a Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager) and eventually a Store Manager. Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a positive and outgoing personality and a strong work ethic
  • Excelling at customer service and relationship building
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Customer service, cashier, or retail experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work well independently and as member of a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics
  • Sales background
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Interacting with customers daily, helping with sales
  • Enjoying the give and take of coming to a mutually satisfying agreement regarding pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, and more
  • Providing a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment
  • Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, interacting with customers in person and on the phone
  • Processing sales, loans, and extensions
  • Performing opening and closing store duties
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations
