About The Position

This role supports Timberland's communication strategies by creating and distributing content aligned with the brand's mission and values. Reporting to the Director of Retail Operations, the Retail Communications Coordinator will enhance brand visibility and engagement through various communication channels, with a focus on supporting retail stores. The position requires a strong background in communications and a passion for the retail sector.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant professional experience or a degree in a related field combined with relevant experience.
  • Ability to develop and execute communication strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement among internal audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with retail stores, field leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to manage timelines and calendars to support effective retail operations.
  • Ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging written and visual content.
  • Ensures precision and accuracy in all communication materials and messaging.
  • Demonstrates ability to foster a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability within teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience using tools to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication plans to support brand initiatives and campaigns.
  • Create and manage content for internal communication channels, including Yoobic content, emails, intranet sites, presentations, and directives.
  • Build partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal campaigns and strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally to maintain and optimize all retail calendars (Stores, brand Ops, VF Ops).
  • Support Head of Stores as needed.
  • Support Sr. Manager of Store Operations with special projects.
  • Contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and suggesting refinements to communication processes.
  • Prepare and present regular updates on communication activities and outcomes to the operations and brand retail leaders.
  • Process department expenses via Coupa.
  • Work with business partners to build the agenda for field leader & store calls.
  • Summarize & recap meeting/call content with & for field leader and store teams.
  • Creation, collection, and collation of field reports (field and customer surveys, store hours, store locator).
  • Execution of contests, recognition, and awards programs.
  • Brand Liaison for store supplies, with VF partner and vendor.
