About The Position

As a Furniture Sales Colleague, also known as a Big Ticket Colleague, you are at the forefront of creating exceptional shopping experiences in our Furniture department. You will build lasting customer relationships by offering personalized service, demonstrating deep product knowledge, and helping customers find furniture solutions that suit their lifestyles and needs. In this role, you’ll be responsible for achieving sales goals, promoting protection plans, managing return rates, and encouraging customer engagement with our loyalty program. In addition, you will support inventory and fulfillment activities within your department. You’ll use technology to assist customers in visualizing their purchases, placing orders, and comparing products. By staying current on product training through digital tools and vendor resources, you’ll provide expert guidance and confidently address customer questions and concerns. Your commitment to service continues beyond the sale, maintaining contact throughout the delivery process and resolving issues to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
  • 1-2 years of related experience is required.
  • Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Standing for at least two consecutive hours.
  • Lifting at least 25lbs.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
  • Reaching, including above eye level.
  • Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers.
  • Ability to process register transactions.

  • Follow up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
  • Share loyalty program benefits.
  • Ensure customers have all they need.
  • Keep in touch with customers through the pre- and post-delivery process to ensure a positive delivery experience.
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration.

  • Meet daily sales goal challenges along with Client and Protection plan goals.
