About The Position

HomeGoods is seeking a Retail Cleaner to maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The role also involves adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. This position requires cross-training in multiple areas of the store to support business needs, embodying a positive store culture, and maintaining high standards for cleanliness and organization across all store areas, including the sales floor, backroom, and restrooms. The cleaner will also adhere to health and safety policies, support front-end coverage, uphold merchandising standards, participate in store recovery, and adhere to loss prevention controls. Additionally, the role involves communicating effectively, adhering to labor laws and break policies, and participating in safety awareness to maintain a safe environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills
Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber
Capable of multi-tasking
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately
Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Operating the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.

Cross-training to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
