About The Position
The Retail Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards, and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture, maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, and supports Front End coverage as needed. The position also requires effective communication with management and colleagues, adherence to company policies and labor requirements, and participation in safety awareness.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink reduction policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Model customer experience practices and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
