About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Part Time Retail Cleaning Associate for morning shifts, Monday through Friday. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a primary focus on floor care. The associate will operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, and perform tasks like dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The position also requires adherence to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Additionally, the associate will be cross-trained to support other areas of the store as needed, contributing to a positive store culture and excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber.
Capable of multi-tasking.
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately.
Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.
Operate the scrubber and buffer.
Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
Model established customer experience practices.
Support and embody a positive store culture.
Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards.
Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms).
Adhere to all company policies concerning Health and Safety.
Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs.
Adhere to and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
