Requirements

• Knowledge of general merchandise purchasing.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Available to work on weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience in a retail store is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a retail or merchandise purchasing role is preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a leadership or team-building role is preferred.
• Knowledge of skiing and other winter activities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations in the retail shop, with an emphasis on teamwork and successful team operations.
• Greet customers, ascertain what each customer wants or needs.
• Recommend, select, and help locate merchandise based on customer needs and desires.
• Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, and policies regarding payment and exchanges.
• Process payments, ensuring all prices, quantities, and descriptions are accurate.
• Assist in inventory management, restocking, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Conduct end of day procedures, including counting cash drawers and restocking all merchandise.
• Assist in visual merchandising, creating attractive displays to enhance sales.
