About The Position

Velocity Esports, located at Newport on the Levee, is a premier entertainment destination offering a comprehensive experience that includes arcade gaming, boutique bowling, esports, billiards, social games, dining, craft beverages, special events, and group activities. The Operations & Brand Supervisor is an hourly leadership role focused on supporting daily venue operations and enhancing the Velocity brand through social media, content creation, promotions, and local marketing. This position reports to the General Manager and acts as a shift leader, working directly with hourly staff to ensure an exceptional guest experience. The Supervisor will collaborate with the General Manager and Owner on social media and marketing initiatives, making it an ideal role for individuals who enjoy floor presence, guest and employee interaction, and capturing venue energy through various media.

Requirements

Previous supervisory, shift lead, or leadership experience in entertainment, hospitality, restaurants, retail, or a similar fast-paced environment preferred.
Comfortable leading hourly employees and providing direction during a busy shift.
Strong guest-service and communication skills.
Interest or experience in social media and content creation.
Comfortable taking quality photos and videos using a smartphone.
Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reels, Stories, and current social media trends.
Basic photo/video editing or graphic design experience is a plus.
Creative eye and ability to recognize content opportunities.
Strong organization, time-management, and follow-through.
Ability to balance operational responsibilities with marketing projects and deadlines.
Self-starter who can take direction and independently execute tasks.
Comfortable working collaboratively with management and team members.
Must meet applicable local and state requirements regarding food handling and/or liquor service.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Serve as a leader on duty, managing daily shifts and venue operations.
Provide direction, coaching, and support to hourly team members.
Deliver excellent guest service and resolve guest concerns.
Ensure service, food and beverage quality, facility presentation, and entertainment experiences meet company standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and inviting venue.
Support employee training and development.
Assist with parties, group events, promotions, and special events.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and other shift responsibilities.
Support ordering, receiving, inventory counts, and product organization.
Assist with arcade game payouts, prize inventory, and merchandising standards.
Complete assigned operational reporting.
Communicate operational issues, guest feedback, and maintenance needs to management.
Ensure company policies, procedures, and operating standards are followed.
Oversee the day-to-day organization, stocking, merchandising, and presentation of the Prize Store and retail displays.
Monitor inventory levels, maintain par levels, complete physical counts, and research discrepancies.
Prepare merchandise and prize orders based on inventory needs and business trends.
Receive and verify shipments, organize back stock, replenish merchandise, and maintain accurate pricing.
Create and refresh engaging merchandise displays, including product placement, signage, and promotional features.
Monitor product performance and help minimize shrink, damage, and inventory issues.
Identify new merchandise opportunities and coach team members on procedures and standards.
Assist with the venue's social media presence and content calendar.
Capture high-quality photos and short-form videos of attractions, food, beverages, events, promotions, team members, and guest experiences.
Create engaging content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
Identify trending social media opportunities that align with the Velocity brand.
Film and edit Reels, short-form videos, stories, and other social content.
Create or assist with basic promotional graphics and digital marketing materials.
Capture content during busy periods, special events, holidays, and promotions.
Work with the General Manager and Owner on assigned content, promotions, campaigns, and marketing deliverables.
Complete miscellaneous marketing projects such as signage, website updates, and community outreach.
Maintain an organized library of photos and video content.
Ensure content represents the venue professionally, including appropriate lighting, presentation, and overall visual quality.
Look for creative opportunities to showcase the venue's personality and energy.
