Retail Banking Representative
About The Position
The Retail Banking Representative (Brickell Branch) is responsible for opening new accounts, personal and business. This role ensures the proper documentation for new accounts has been gathered and properly documented, and cross sells banks products/services. Responsibilities include inputting data and documents for KYC (Know Your Customer), assisting branch personnel and customers with account-related inquiries, and providing quality customer service in person, via email, and by phone. The representative also provides customer service to internal bank departments and performs Teller duties when needed. This includes processing teller transactions, performing all teller paying and receiving functions for commercial and personal accounts (deposits, Cashier's Checks, Money Orders, Cash Advances), gathering CTR information for transactions exceeding the established threshold, and balancing the cash drawer.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years of teller or related financial customer service experience in handling cash
- One (1) year of banking experience required
- Ability to deal with customers in a pleasant and effective manner
- Knowledgeable of internal bank operations (wire transfers, debits/credits and loan payments)
- Knowledgeable of banking products to cross-sell
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good computer knowledge in MS Software (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook)
