About The Position

The Retail Backroom Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team. This role creates a positive internal and external customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The Coordinator models exceptional customer service, promotes a culture of honesty and integrity, and maintains confidentiality. They orchestrate truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles. The Coordinator ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. They ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, monitor team productivity, and coach as necessary. Additionally, they organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment, maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and uphold all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area. They ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates, and provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback. The Coordinator partners with Management on Associate training needs, ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, promotes credit and loyalty programs, supports store shrink reduction goals, and promotes safety awareness. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.

  • Able to train others.
  • 1 year retail experience.
  • 6 months of leadership experience.
