About The Position

The Retail Back Room Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team. This role ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The Coordinator models exceptional customer service, creates a positive internal and external customer experience, and promotes a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. This role orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles. The Coordinator ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded, and communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor. They ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed, and monitors the productivity of the team, coaching as necessary. The role involves organizing and rotating back stock for easy replenishment, maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensuring all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area are met. Additionally, the Coordinator ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provides progress updates. They provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness, and ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. The role also promotes credit and loyalty programs, supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment. Other duties as assigned.

  • 1 year retail experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
