About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Attendant to join their team at the Sunseeker Resort Florida Gulf Coast. This role is responsible for driving sales through excellent product knowledge and customer service, maintaining a pleasant store environment, and working collaboratively with team members. The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet, possess an engaging attitude, and be eager to contribute to a world-class property. The Sunseeker Resort is a luxury waterfront destination with extensive amenities, including 785 guest rooms, significant event space, 18 food and beverage outlets, and the largest rooftop pool in Florida.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience working in a retail environment preferred
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
  • Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
  • Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Frequent bend, push/pull, and lifting/carrying of up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue and sales transactions through excellent product knowledge and customer service.
  • Provide prompt service and maintain a fun, clean, and comfortable store environment.
  • Work closely with different members of the team.
  • Maintain a great relationship with all guests and members of the team.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the hotel/resort and all events, amenities, and directions to assist guests.
  • Assist in creating unique and creative retail displays.
  • Operate the POS system effectively.
  • Be highly organized with a strong understanding of product locations.
  • Maintain a cash bank and balance it at the end of the shift.
  • Retrieve and return the bank from the vault to the workstation and back, ensuring accountability.
  • Be willing to assist in delivering top service levels where needed.
  • Be knowledgeable of any promotions or special items in stock.
  • Maintain stock levels, ensuring shelves are stocked and items needing ordering are identified.
  • Keep the retail area clean.
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction and creatively solve problems in cases of dissatisfaction.
  • Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, check total verification, tip disbursement, cash drawer, and house bank management.
