About The Position

The Retail Attendant supports the daily operation of the market/minimart by providing excellent customer service, operating the register, restocking products, merchandising, and keeping the store clean and organized. This role also prepares Starbucks™ beverages and assists with pizza preparation, ensuring quality and consistency. With strong product knowledge and attention to detail, the Retail Attendant helps create a friendly, efficient, and welcoming shopping experience for all guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree GED.
  • Must be over 21 years old.
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Has or is able to obtain SMART Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • The Team Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow instructions without close supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily opening, running, and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, courteous assistance throughout the store.
  • Answer product questions, offer recommendations, and highlight promotions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist customers in locating merchandise, resolving concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Prepare and serve coffee and other hot beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist with pizza preparation, including assembling pizzas, preparing ingredients, and maintaining food quality standards.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards while preparing and serving food and beverages.
  • Operate the POS system efficiently to process purchases, returns, exchanges, and refunds.
  • Handle cash, card, and digital payments in accordance with company cash-handling procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized environment, including food prep areas, counters, equipment, and floors.
  • Stock, rotate, and replenish merchandise, ingredients, and supplies using proper product rotation practices.
  • Ensure products are properly labeled, priced, faced, and displayed according to company standards.
  • Assist with inventory counts and notify supervisors of shortages, discrepancies, or product issues.
  • Set up and maintain promotional or seasonal displays as directed.
  • Remove expired, damaged, or out-of-date products to maintain quality and safety standards.
