About The Position

The Retail Attendant Lead prepares bank deposits for Courtyard Café, 1700 South, and Windows; posts sales to the ledger; coordinates staff schedules; and ensures appropriate stocking levels. The position conducts new employee training in accordance with Food and Nutrition Policies and Standards and participates in ongoing employee education initiatives. The Lead Retail Attendant serves coffee and bakery products to guests, providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating full knowledge of specialty coffee production processes. The role requires attention to detail and awareness of customer needs while performing multiple tasks, including producing coffee recipes, selecting bakery products, handling cash accurately and efficiently, maintaining personal hygiene, and sanitizing work areas. The position may also assist with other food-related department tasks.

Nice To Haves

Prefer two years of experience in a high-volume, direct customer interaction setting.
Prefer ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.
Prefer verbal ability to read and understand written instructions, recipes, and labels.
Prefer basic working knowledge of cash handling and cash registers.
Prefer ability to meet and communicate with the public, staff, and peers professionally.
Preferred education: high school diploma, GED, or certificate.
