About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Retail Associate responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience. This role involves engaging with customers, embodying the REACH philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate will adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and will be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. Must balance register draws and/or cash office as required.
Must ensure ‘go backs’ are properly tagged/hung and promptly returned to the sales floor.
Must maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy.
Must adhere to and uphold merchandise and signage standards.
Must partner with Merchandise Coordinator to create and maintain compelling features.
Must ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Must initiate and participate in store recovery.
Must support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Must adhere to operational and loss prevention controls.
Must identify and communicate alert signals and potential safety issues immediately to management/loss prevention.
Must not engage in pursuit or apprehension of shoplifters.

Process and prep merchandise for the sales floor following Door to Floor and Working Smart principles.
Adhere to Front End policy and procedures including ringing sequence and operational controls.
Balance register draws and/or cash office as required.
Ensure ‘go backs’ are properly tagged/hung and promptly returned to the sales floor.
Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy.
Adhere to and uphold merchandise and signage standards.
Partner with Merchandise Coordinator to create and maintain compelling features, flexing the sales floor as needed.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Adhere to operational and loss prevention controls according to company guidelines and policies.
Identify and communicate alert signals and potential safety issues immediately to management/loss prevention.
Does not engage in pursuit or apprehension of shoplifters.
