About The Position

Goodwill Central East Texas is hiring a Retail Associate to help deliver a positive customer experience and keep the store operating smoothly. The role involves assisting shoppers, processing sales, organizing merchandise, maintaining clean and appealing sales areas, and supporting store operations. The work is fast-paced, active, and mostly indoors. On-the-job training is provided, and no formal education or retail experience is required. Some weekends are required.

Requirements

• Be positive, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Work as part of a team and be willing to help wherever needed.
• Have strong communication and people skills.
• Be able to stand, move, lift up to 20 pounds, and remain active throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them find items.
• Operate the register, ring up sales, and handle payments.
• Colorize and organize clothing displays.
• Keep the sales floor tidy, clean, and presentable.
• Answer phones and direct calls.
• Watch for shoplifters.
• Clean fitting rooms, bathrooms, and counters.
• Assist with restocking and sorting donations.
• Help with other tasks needed to keep the store running smoothly.
